Linsanity

Jeremy Lin was pretty much a nobody.  He went to college at Harvard, and then went on to play in the NBA for the Golden State Warriors.  Now, he has turned into an international sensation.  It’s amazing what one game in your career can do.  After that one game in February, he became the starting point guard for the New York Knicks.  He has performed phenomenally since.  Here was an Asian American basketball player that had hardly ever been able to get playing time.  And he was averaging around 15 points a game.  But that’s not the only thing.  Jeremy Lin is open about his faith, which is what we should all be.  He is glorifying God in his playing.  Struggles were not uncommon.  I’m sure he was bullied because he was different, and Jason Kidd of the Mavericks bullied him as well by giving him a pop in the face.  But Lin overcame all of the problems and is now the spotlight of all the NBA.

  1. Great subject Luke! I've been hearing about Jeremy Lin all the time from my brother, but I did not know he was a Christian!
