Chuck Colson Dies at Age 80
Chuck Colson, the founder of Prison Fellowship Ministries, died at age 80 on April 21, 2012 . Back in the days when he was in the counsel of Pres. Nixon, he was part of a group called the Plumbers. This group of seven ( Watergate Seven) did illegal crimes like breaking into public offices to gain information for Pres. Nixon. The Plumbers were caught breaking into the National Democratic Committee headquarters in Washington at Watergate offices.
Chuck Colson was put under investigation, then put on trial, and then put in prison. While he was in prison, he claimed to devote his life to evangelizing. His rivals thought this was all phony and that he really wasn't going to do it, but he spent the rest of his life evangelizing inmates. He later moved to Naples, Florida. It was then that the governor of Florida restored his civil rights, including the right to vote.
He is a true inspiration and hero of faith for all Christians everywhere.
